Bago (Pegu) is just 80 km northeast of Yangon. Two Mon brothers founded the city about 825 A.D. In 13th century A.D. Bago became the capital of the Mon Kingdom and it came to be known as Hansavati (Hanthawaddy). Bago today is the capital of Bago Division.

We can visit the Shwe Mawdaw pagoda, the highest pagoda in Myanmar, the Shwe Tharlyaung huge reclining Buddha, Hinathgone hill, Kyaikpun pagoda, Pago colorful market and Kanbawzathadi palace site.
Bago is famous for its cheroot (local cigars) industry. Different brands of cheroot are available there. Other products are rice, salt, dried fish and various handicrafts.

Inspiration Myanmar, Rallye Logistics !
